1.) Describe Spitz's character using examples from the chapter to support your answer.
Spitz is the lead dog. He is like a bully because he was laughing when billy died. He likes to be left alone. He is mean to the other dogs. Spitz gets killed by Buck.
2.) How do Francois and Perrault display their true natures in this chapter? Give specific examples to support your answer?
Francois is nice to the dogs by giving Bucks booties. He is fair when the other dogs was getting buck food and hie hits the other dogs. Perrault is mean to the other dogs. If the dogs disobey him he hits them with a club. Both are the guts are protective with the dogs. They are not lazy because they use the dogs so they are fast to do their works.
3.) How does Buck begin to undermine Spitz's authority in this chapter? What were the effects of Buck's actions? What does this say about Buck's transformation from a "southland dog"?
He growls at Spitz when he goes close to him. He is not scared at spitz. He callenges him because he doesn't won't him to take his nest to his food. The other dogs stop listing to spitz. The other dogs are anorci. Perrault is losing his team because Spitz is dead and Buck is now in charge. He change because he is more aggressive and he is stealing other digs food because he is hungry.

London means that because buck is know the leader because Spitz is dead. He has animal instings. He is beast by killing Spitz.
A pause seemed to fall. Every animals was motionless as though turned to stone. Only Spitz quivered and bristled as he staggered back and forth, snarling with horrible menace, as though to frighten off impending death. Then Buck sprang in and out; but while he was in, shoulder had at ast squarely met shoulder. The dark circle became a dot on the moon-flooded snow as Spitz disappeared from view. Buck stoof and looked on, the successful champion, the dominant primordial beast who had made his kill and found it good. (p. 31)
5.) What traits have helped Buck thrive in his new world? Of them, why do you think is most important? Why?
Buck's traits that helps him is imagination . His imagination helps because the other dogs isn't awear of it. An other trait is that he stand up. He stands up by when people try to steal his food. He is quick. He is a quick learner. I think when he stands up is important because if someone is trying to attack him he can fight them and won't be scared.
