thw qoute means that the man in buck dreams where scared or buck was scared of him. That would be true because the way that London put this quote it seems that buck is reallly scared. John Thortons{s world is not fill with fear beacuse he hunts and he is not scared.
2.) Why is Buck intent on befriending the wolf? What makes him break off their travels and return to camp? What does this say about Buck's place in the world?
he is intent on befriending the wolf beacuse now he has noone. this say about Buck{s place in the world that he is alone and sad that John Thorton has died. I think his past has broke hin off thier travles and return to camp.

the fights tell us that he is in the real world and he need to be indepenent and dont be like a pesant. I think that London incluse them in the story because it show hom that he is brave and he will take a challange. iI think that Buck will be more bolder and more wiser with the pack.

He learns that people need to survive to so they want some meat. so they try to hunt animals. I think its makes it harder beacsue he almost got killed but he was still not afraid.

In my opinion it has a sad ending because he lost his last master. And he had to discover that John Torton was dead by himself. I think that London would say that he was really brave through out the whole story.
