This whole year I was learning poetry. Poetry thought me a lot of things. An example that poetry thought was me was that, poetry is not for girls ot for boys too. When I write poetry, I write my feelings. Putting my feelings in a poem relieves me. I know that my teacher will see my poems but she wont tell any one. Right? But any back to the point. As I got really good at poetry and some really good things that happened to me. I got to see my the author of my FAVORITE poem. Just by one letter that is amazing!

Jack falls in love with Walter Dean Myers' poetry is because Mr. Myers is talking about his son and was explaining how much he loves his son. The effect that Mr. Myers visited Jack's school was surprising to Jack. Jack didn't know that he was coming just from his letter that Jack wrote. I know by the way Jack was talking really fast when he found out that Mr. Myers was coming.
